Our Beliefs

At Woodside Church, we embody the gospel's values, loving God, loving others, and sharing Jesus' good news. Join us in transforming lives with God's love and truth.

  • Jesus

We embrace Jesus Christ as the divine Son of God, central to Christianity. He embodies the Word of God and was sent to offer Himself as the ultimate sacrifice for our sins, granting us the gift of eternal life. Jesus' teachings on love, forgiveness, humility, and repentance form the bedrock of our faith. His resurrection not only confirms His divinity but also assures believers of everlasting life. We are called to emulate His selfless love, pursue holiness, and proclaim the transformative power of the gospel. Through acts of service and devotion, we honor His example of love and sacrifice.

  • The Trinity

We affirm the doctrine of the Trinity, which reveals God as one divine being existing in perfect unity as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Trinity signifies the distinct yet inseparable nature of these three persons who coexist harmoniously, actively participating in the creation and sustenance of the world. Recognizing God as the ultimate source of life, we acknowledge the Trinitarian relationship as essential for comprehending His character and His divine plan for humanity. Embracing the Trinity deepens our connection with the Lord and grants us greater insight into His purpose for our lives.

  • The Bible

We wholeheartedly affirm the divine inspiration of the Bible, recognizing it as the true and inspired word of God. The Bible serves as our ultimate guide, embodying truth, integrity, and enduring relevance. It is more than a mere book; it is a living testament brimming with divine wisdom and guidance. Through its sacred pages, we encounter God's character, discover the path of righteous living, and nurture our spiritual growth. By engaging in diligent study and heartfelt meditation on the Scriptures, we draw nearer to God, basking in the depths of His love and uncovering profound insights.

  • Salvation

We firmly hold to the belief in salvation by faith in Jesus Christ, who was divinely sent by God as the Savior, offering us the gift of eternal life. Salvation is exclusively attained through faith in Jesus and genuine repentance for our sins. We acknowledge that our redemption is a result of God's grace alone and not by our own merits or efforts. The Scriptures assure us that regardless of our shortcomings, God's boundless love and unmerited favor are always accessible. By embracing Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we find assurance in our salvation and the glorious promise of everlasting life in the presence of God.

  • Baptism

We deeply believe the significance of baptism as a powerful symbol of a believer's dedication to Jesus and His teachings. It serves as an outward expression of our faith and an affirmation of our commitment to follow Him wholeheartedly. Baptism is an integral part of Christian discipleship, embodying a profound declaration of our allegiance to Jesus. With reverence and heartfelt devotion, we are dedicated to supporting and rejoicing with individuals as they embark on this significant milestone in their spiritual journey. Through the act of baptism, we proudly declare our unwavering faith in Jesus and our unwavering devotion to serving Him and extending His love to others.

  • The Holy Spirit

We firmly believe in the transformative presence of the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity. The Holy Spirit serves as the bridge between God and humanity, providing us with solace, direction, and fortitude. Through the Holy Spirit, we gain a deeper comprehension and appreciation of the Scriptures, enabling us to embody their teachings in our daily lives. With unwavering faith, we acknowledge the perpetual presence of the Holy Spirit, faithfully guiding us on our spiritual journey. Moreover, we embrace the diverse gifts bestowed upon us by the Holy Spirit. These gifts empower us to serve God wholeheartedly and actively share His boundless love with others.

  • The Church

We embrace the Christian doctrine of The Church, recognizing it as a sacred gathering of believers united by faith and love. Our aim is to foster a vibrant community centered on our shared faith in Jesus Christ and our dedication to His kingdom. Our core values are rooted in loving God, loving others, and making diciples. We aspire to be recognized for our genuine care for one another. We believe that as a united body of believers, we are called to serve and spread the transformative message of the gospel to all. Guided by the Holy Spirit, we passionately pursue discipleship, faithfully living out our faith through compassionate deeds and impactful service within our community and beyond.

  • Prayer

We wholeheartedly believe in the transformative power of prayer, both as a personal practice and as a communal expression of our unwavering faith in God's involvement in our lives. Prayer is an indispensable component of the Christian journey, enabling us to engage in meaningful conversation with our Creator. It serves as a vital means to seek divine guidance, draw strength, experience healing, invoke protection, and intercede for our loved ones and community. Through prayer, we cultivate a deeper connection with God, gaining insight into His will and purpose for our lives. It is through the act of prayer that we open ourselves to His divine presence and experience His loving response in His perfect timing.
